that is not the best heater for a hermit crab tank ... that is more for reptiles ... you should use something like this:

but i much prefer this:

you are trying to keep the tank at least 80 degrees and an undertank heater will also provide an area of warm substrate which is also important ... hermit crabs do not care for bright light and the light you have provided a link to will not keep a 10 gallon tank consistently warm ...
